A multicentric study compared the efficacy of Naturoplex^® tablets with antibiotics Norfloxacin and Ampicillin.

A multicentric study involved 2581 patients, of both sexes with different urinary tract infections such as: acute kidney inflammation, chronic progressive inflammations, bladder inflammations, prostate inflammations, and urinary tract inflammations. Patients were divided into two groups. One, containing 1798 patients received Naturoplex^®, and a control group numbering 783 patients (positive control) received Norfloxacin or Ampicillin, two of the most commonly prescribed antibiotics for urinary tract infections’ treatment.  Products were received during 15 days in recommended doses. After completing the therapy, patients were monitored for 6 more months to determine the percentage of infection returning (recidivism.

Overall therapeutically positive effect was achieved in 95.05% patients receiving Naturoplex^® and in 84.04% of patients receiving antibiotics. Recidivism was monitored during the next 6 months in 213 patients that were treated with Naturoplex^® and 87 patients that were treated with one of the antibiotics. During this time period, recidivism in the first group was seen in 4.23% of patients, and 43.59% of patients from the control group. In comments from the authors of this study, it has been recommended that therapy of acute inflammations with Naturoplex be extended by 5 days, while in chronic inflammations therapy should be extended by 10 more days to prevent reoccurrence of infections (recidivism of illness). In this, as well as other clinical studies done on Naturoplex^® did not show any side effects.

Clinical study was conducted that compared the efficacy of Naturoplex^® and Sulfamethoxazole.

Study involved 90 patients of senior age group that had urinary tract infections. All patients were earlier diagnosed with strokes. As a consequence, frequents urinary infections occur within these groups. Patients were randomly divided into two groups. One group counted 60 patients (25 males and 36 females) that received Naturoplex^®, while other group had 30 patients (12 males and 18 females) that received Sulfamethoxazole, a frequently used antibiotic for treating urinary tract infections. Average age of participants was 66 years (from 60 to 85 years).

Clinical study that involved treatment of acute and chronic urinary tract infections and acute pyelonephritis.

Study involved 25 patients (7 males and 18 females), between the age of 23 and 70 years. Out of which, 15 patients were suffering from acute inflammation, 5 from chronic progressive urinary tract infection, 3 with acute pyelonephritis (kidney inflammation), 1 from chronic pyelonephritis and 1 from enlarged prostate. Efficiency results were divided into three groups: obvious effect, lesser effect and no effect.

Clinical study involving treatment of acute and chronic upper and lower urinary tract infections.

Study was conducted in a clinical centre in China. Study involved 30 patients (27 females and 3 males) aged between 35 and 71 years. Out of which, 24 had upper urinary tract infections, 3 had acute kidney inflammation (acute pyelonephritis) and 3 had chronic progressive inflammations (chronic pyelonephritis with acute periods).

Results were divided by criteria: complete recovery (symptoms and signs of illness are eliminated; with routine urine checks twice a day showed good results, with negative urinoculture), clear signs of improvement (symptoms and signs of illness are disappearing, routine urine checks normal or close to normal, and negative urinoculture),  healing in progress-lesser effects (lesser symptoms and signs of illness, routine daylily urine checks show clear improvement), no effect (no effect, positive urinoculture)

Clinical study that used Naturoplex^® for the treatment of acute attack of the chronic pyelonephritis.

Study involved 64 patients diagnosed of acute attack of chronic pyelonephritis. Patients were randomly divided into two groups. One group containing 33 patients was given Naturoplex^®, while other group containing 31 patients received Ciprofloxacin or Cephalexin, or Erythromycin. First group involved 2 males and 31 females aged between 20 and 68 years with average frequency of illness attack of 2-4 times a years. Other group involved 30 females and 1 male, aged between 21 and 66 years and with average frequency of attacks 2-3 times a year.

Via ultrasonic screening and radiography methods it has been established that the group receiving Naturoplex^® has 3 cases of elongated urethra, 3 cases of kidney stones and 2 cases of cists in kidneys, while the control group had these conditions in numbers 3, 2, 1 respectively. Kidney function was normal in both groups with no signs of complications. Product Naturoplex^® and antibiotics were used for 2 weeks in their recommended dosages.

Clinical study that compared product Naturoplex^® in use for acute bladder inflammation was conducted in 45 patients and involved comparing efficacies of Naturoplex^® and antibiotic Norfloxacin.

Study was conducted in Shandong Provincial hospital in China. It involved 75 patients (43 females and 32 males) suffering from acute inflammation, that were divided into two groups. First group contained 45 patients of older age that were receiving Naturoplex^®, while other contained 30 patients that were receiving Norfloxacin. As for adverse effects, in the group receiving Naturoplex^® abdominal discomfort was recorded in 3 patients that did not require therapy discontinuance. Group receiving Norfloxacin two patients suffered from vomiting. A conclusion was made that the adverse reactions to Naturoplex^® were recorded.
